Niagara Region, ON (March 29, 2010) – The Canadian Digital Media Network (CDMN) announced today that the Niagara Interactive Media Generator (nGen) has joined the CDMN network. The CDMN is working to connect organizations such as nGen in a nationwide network to collaborate and share digital media research, technology development and commercialization expertise.

nGen becomes the third node of the CDMN which was formed in 2009 and is focused on increasing opportunities for companies and employment in the Canadian digital media sector.

“We’re delighted to add nGen to the collaboration network given the organization’s focus on helping jump-start and grow new digital media enterprises,” said Kevin Tuer, Managing Director of the CDMN.

nGen brings together key partners in industry, economic development and post-secondary education in the Niagara Region and draws from the digital media talent pool emerging from Brock University and Niagara College. nGen’s programs are designed to attract and assist new business in an environment enabling creators and entrepreneurs to thrive. nGen is in the midst of an expansion which will include state-of-the-art technologies housed in a new facility encompassing an additional 7,350 square feet of space.
